Easy EZ Scam. Driver alert.

DRIVERS BEWARE!  There is a scam going on along New Jersey highways that could cost you in big fines.

Unauthorized vendors are selling 'easy' buttons to unsuspecting motorists at $40 promising flat rate for all future tolls.  We want to get the word out, this is not true and will cost you  in heavy fines for skipping tolls.  The fakes are round, red and say "easy" the real pass says "ezpass", rectangular and isn't a fake.  A source at AAA tells us there are an estimated 20 thousand drivers with red "easy" buttons on their windshields.  If you have any doubts visit the New Jersey EZPass page.

Gov Christie Blocks Saturday Sun: Foils Manhattanhenge?

Saturday night: Manhattanhenge, Super Moon & Pi In The Sky 

A spectacular sunset was expected on this cosmic evening. Manhattanhenge and a Super Moon had New York City and social media buzzing. Start the sky hype with the largest art project in the city's history, "Pi in the Sky" which wrote the first 314 digits of π (Pi) with sky-typing planes in huge numerals, visible over 15 miles, and this evening was going to be historic for sky and science geeks.

This was until New Jersey Governor Chris Christie allegedly rolled out his sun blocking cloud machine, foiling Manhattanhenge, disappointing a million sky gazers. Christie was unavailable for comment but prior allegations of disrupting New York traffic has him as the prime suspect. Mother Nature, who was on 34th street, was looking forward to the sunset and denied any responsibility for these rogue clouds.

For those who may have missed the hype, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Astrophysicist at the American Museum of Natural History, coined the phrase Manhattanhenge in 2002. The phenomenon is also known as the Manhattan Solstice - occurs when the setting sun aligns precisely with the Manhattan street grid, those on the east side can look across town on major through streets and see the sunset.

No rain date has been announced and the next official Manhattanhenge is May 2015.

Six Flags – Over Earth announced. New NASA theme park on the moon

Following Friday morning’s successful crash of a LCROSS satellite and its booster rocket into a crater near the south pole of the moon, a surprise joint venture announcement was made between Six Flags and NASA, “Six Flags – Over Earth” a zero gravity water theme park is scheduled to break ground in Spring 2011 and be completed by 2020.

A satellite and booster rocket, shot at the moon as a test for potable water and parking, proved to be a positive low cost location for a gigantic entertainment complex which promises to eclipse the earth. Water slides, trampolines and character parades are only a few attractions slated for the new theme park.

"This is so cool," said Jerry Smith, coordinator for Six Flag’s “Over Earth” campaign. "We're thrilled."

"This is going to change where we take summer vacations," NASA chief lunatic Michael Mal de la Cabeza said at the news conference. “No More Jersey Shore for us”

Photos and artists renderings are to be released in the next few weeks.
